KW:’Walk on girls’ or players’ escorts have been a staple of televised darts competitions for decades, however, the Professional Darts Corporation have announced that ‘walk on girls’ are to become a thing of the past, intending to ban the ‘outdated’ practise with immediate effect. Is this a step in the right direction, or politIcal correctness gone mad? Now Grid Girls in Formula 1 have lost their jobs as well, there won’t even be girls bring out the trophies to the podiums. Ah lets see…. shall we have little boys bring the trophies out instead? How about grid boys then and women have no part in Grand Prix racing so they can enjoy being back home in the kitchen baking a nice cake for the heros’ return!
