KW: The sixth mass extinction is under way on our earth watch. Disgusting isn’t it? Locally I am in support of the moves to rid New Zealand of rodents and the like that attack and kill our native species plus those that are sealing off areas like the Cape Kidnappers and returning native species to live unmolested there from rodents. But what about the rest of the world where we butcher magnificent animals for tusks or hides or herd beautiful marine creatures into sea coves to slaughter mercilessly for blubber and meat. The true cost of capitalism is born by other animals as is always the case.
