Putin simply out smarted the energy market when he demanded that gas and oil exports be paid for not it US$ but in rubles puttting a strong demand for rubles rights out there. Linking gold to rubles goes that extra mile and so the global financial system will need to digest what is happening turning the financial world upside down before our very eyes. One does not need to be reminded that that the Americans have self destructed their own reality by simply printing money at will and creating so much debt it can never be repaid as they wallowed and an artificial comfort zone of ignorance about reality and what a US$ is really worth.
