KW: The west was immediate in blaming Russia for the shooting down of Malasian Airlines MH17. At the time I was aware that Russia was immediate in presenting its radar data to the world whilst Ukraine presented nothing, indeed the story went that the Spanish radar controler stationed in Keiv disappeared without trace never to be interviewed by investigators. Meanwhile the Dutch led investigation team has not produced a final conclusive report even 4 years after the tragedy and Russia wanting to be part of the investigation. Now the Russians are producing evidence for the Dutch to examine. Time will tell if they will be allowed to do this. The serial numbers found on debris of the Buk missile which downed Malaysian Airlines Flight MH17 over eastern Ukraine show it was produced in 1986, the Russian military said. The projectile was owned by Ukraine, they added.
