So you think that nuclear war is a remote possibility?

Then why are the Americans doing everything they possibly can to show they are ready for a nuclear assault? At Vandenberg Air Force Base in California- for the second time this week – the US test-fired its second intercontinental ballistic missile seeking to demonstrate its nuclear arms capacity at a time of rising strategic tensions with Russia, North Korea, China and the middle east. The unarmed Minuteman III missile roared out of a silo at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California, raced across the sky at speeds of up to 15,000 mph (24,000 kph) and landed a half hour later in a target area 4,200 miles (6,500 km) away near Kwajalein Atoll in the Marshall Islands of the South Pacific.

The entire launch was caught on the following video released by Vandenberg. Obama’s final defense budget just released calls for a US$1.8 billion increase in nuclear arms spending to overhaul their aging nuclear bombers, missiles submarines and other systems. Obama of course was a Nobel Peace prize winner and called for a reduction in US dependency on nuclear arms. He also called for the decommissioning of Guantanamo Bay detention centre in Cuba where the US has held hundreds of prisoners without charges or access t legal aid/advice but plenty of water boarding and other forms of torture. Obama’s failing to do this means we can possibly look forward to lots more torture at the hands of Trump who thinks it works and wants plenty more of it. Another legacy of Nobel Peace prize winner Obama is mass killings of millions of innocent civilians in countries like Iraq and Syria by supporting the terrorist organisations that he publicly lies about fighting and them being America’s worst enemy.  His Presidency has been an unmitigated disaster where the neocons have risen to unprecedented power and it’s these people who believe they can win a nuclear war.
