Funding and arming the unrest is part of this process, ahistorically proven method of the CIA. Then impose sanctions on their economy so that basic items like food disappears from super market shelves. People become alarmed, more countries under U.S. influence join in the embargo, the situation for ordinary citizens worsens by the day and oppostion to the elected government increases, then you recognise the despot you backed as the true leader. It’s all been done before and it leads to chaos but control by a subversive invader.
