When will we finally admit that electric vehicles aren’t the solution? | Stuff.co.nz

KW: Our media is saturating the populace with scaremongering reports about the end of the world and blaming fossil fuels for this dramatic and unproven collapse of the environment. It’s therfore refreshing to see an article like this in mainstream that should raise awareness of the possibility that the mad rush to electric does nothing to alter the equation alarmists are raving about. It explains too why Trump annonced just recently he wanted to ‘buy Greenland’ (the Danes flatly refused, much to his annoyance) because Greenland has large deposits of ‘rare earth elements’ needed to produce the  expensive batteries to power electric cars. This article tells the story from a different slant again, that electric cars do not improve the environmental statistic of burning carbon.

OPINION: EVs come with drawbacks for the environment. We should not rush to embrace them.
