The lie spread by western media (and it continues today) about the war in Ukraine being a seizure of power in the Russian speaking Eastern Donbass region of Ukraine by Russia is not well known in the west. Ukraine is a pawn in the ongoing battle from US neocons to destroy Russian influence and power, effectively a confrontation between nuclear armed states. The latest example of the corruption by the west of course was when the (Washington controlled IMF) abandoned its own foundation rules of not lending to a country that was at war or in default on its sovereign debt enabling Ukraine to stiff repayment of $3 billion to Russia that fell due on December 10th. Ukraine has no intention of repaying the debt (which will be disputed by Russia in UK courts very soon) but the IMF lent Ukraine more life support funding that will also not be repaid as things stand now.
