Controverially Paul Craig Roberts Proposes that Russia is becoming cornered becasue of the stance that is being taken by the Russians that has led to the current war in Ukraine. It is Western agression, not Russian agression that has led to this situation where nuclear war is predicable and certain. The West is after the break up of Russia whereas Russia does not want to take over Ukraine. Disturbing thinking.
