KW: The degree of resentment and ‘sick of being used as your backstop to crazed policies’ is evident with Merkel standing not with Trump but with Putin on this issue, having flown to Moscow to do so.  With Trump pushing his weight around it has lead to thawing relations between Russia and Germany. The killing of the high ranking Iranian General  and the lies and false statements made by Trump & Pompeo about him simply puts the world at knife-edge where mistakes can be made such as the now admitted mistaken downing of the Ukrainian Boeing 737-800 during the hight of the Iranian response to the kiling. Mistakes happen and it cost 176 innocent people their lives as the Iranians say they thought the plane was a hostile flight in the midst of the crisis. Not good enough excuse but thats what we have with war.
