KW: Russia merely points out the the UN Security Council , indeed all of the UN is merely an organ of U.S. foreign policy. There is no great honour for New Zealand to be a member of the UNSC and simply carrying out the instruction of the U.S. It was all blown up, out of proportion bluster, about how effective New Zealand could become on the interntaional stage.

Russia and China have vetoed a UN Security Council resolution on immediate seven-day ceasefire in the Syrian city of Aleppo, which was submitted by Egypt, New Zealand and Spain. Russian Foreign Minister earlier described the draft resolution as “counterproductive”.
