Don Brash has the ability to polarize opinion….no question! Whether you ‘like’ him or disapprove of him he is an intelligent man. He advances arguments and commentary that demonstrates thinking worthy of consideration about a number of issues. One of these issues is the creation of unelected Iwi power through non democratic processes that is and will divide New Zealand. Granting of these powers to a select few will, I suggest, create havoc in the future. Migration is spurring the New Zealand economy, we are an attractive place to live. NZ is one of the only places in the world where the economy is advancing, creating economic growth without massive fiscal stimulus. But more and more new New Zealanders are of Asian origin, soon if not already their numbers will exceed that of Maori as an ethnic group. The grab for power is going to alienate all other ethnicitiesthe majority in favor of the minority few and as is already happening in Auckland creating administrative nightmares.
