War Between the United States and China Now Looks Inevitable-Jim Rickards

KW: China seems to be getting offside with a lot of countries around the world right now, the Covid-19 outbreak being a particular sore point at the moment. However it goes much further and feelings run much deeper as China asserts itself globally into super power status much to the annoyance of the U.S.that pursues a capitalist agenda for the few but that leaves vast parts of its own population in poverty, many homeless. China is communist but is dragging much of its own population forward while those that don’t fit are spat out, also  an annoying and  disgusting habit of Chinese visitors to our shores. the Chinese invasion is insideous as they have taken control of several critical industries in New Zealand  and elsewhere, something Trump has clumsily attempted to redress with sanctions and tarrif impositions that is actually leading to Americans paying for this situation once again with higher prices for anything of Chinese manufacture. Indeed to Covid-19 outbreak has exposed just how vulnerable the U.S. is. While I’m sure that if the order was for munitions and bombs the U.S. would be an immediate and capable supplier when it came to face masks, protective medical equipment and medicines to help America’s sick there was no capacity available with the U.S. reduced to pirating supplies destined for other countries to supply there hospitals. Capitalism under the heat and spotlight of a pandemic has been shown to be a complete failure compared to the central control of the communist Chinese government

Rickards:- One particular hot spot — the South China Sea where not only China but also  Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Borneo and Indonesia all have claims is becoming a hot spot region. But China insists it controls the entire area including islands, reefs and natural resources. Apparently Chinese coast guard vessels have recently rammed fishing boats from Vietnam and the Philippines. Meanwhile, the U.S. Navy operates “freedom of navigation” cruises to demonstrate that the U.S. also rejects China’s claims. Both sides, the U.S. and China, are escalating the confrontation. Neither side is backing down. One incident can rapidly escalate. This makes warfare almost inevitable. It’s just a matter of time.
