KW: This story interests me greatly as I have personally experienced the Israel Lobby attack a little while ago. Notified by a local ‘Israel supporter troll’ about an article I wrote and that was published in the local newspaper the Hawke’s Bay Today in relation to a local pastor of a church (in one of the poorer suburbs of Hastings, although that is not an issue apart from what else the Pastor does with collection money by taking out full page adds in national newspapers promoting his ideas)  and who was also transporting  his churchgoers down to Wellington by bus  to protest outside Parliament New Zealand’s lack of support for Israel and objecting to the fact that New Zealand had not supported a UN Resolution in the Security Council about Palestine, the Hawke’s Bay Today suffered immediate international attack condemning the Editor for publishing the article. Overnight the Editor received 11 letters, all from overseas (some of which he published) condemning his actions as being Jew hating and claiming that the story published displayed my personal ignorance. I think he was somewhat scared by this tactic as he had never experienced this before in his life as an Editor but to his credit he held firm and did not retract or apologise and the fuss soon blew over. What it clearly indicated is that someone who read the article here in New Zealand sent copies of it all over the world to ‘attackers’ as there is no way that 11 people in the U.S. to South Africa to Europe read the regional paper Hawke’s Bay Today that same night and reacted immediately to it. I hold to my article as true and correct in all of my discussion but it showed clearly just what the Israel Lobby is and how strong it can be.
