KW: The corruption of the Obama administration is laid bare for all thinking people to see. After years of war in Syria outwardly telling the world they are fighting ISIS, when it became apparent that not only the U.S. was not fighting ISIS (or if they were they were completely ineffective) they were actually assisting ISIS forces knowingly with arms and money meaning that any peace talks about Syria had only one result – failure- the Russians, Iranians and Turkey got together without U.S. involvement and forged a deal that seems to be working still. By eliminating the problem a deal was struck. It became impossible to make any deal with John Kerry but that is not all. Since Russian/Syrian forces retook Aleppo ISIS forces with the full knowledge of the U.S. military supposedly fighting to retake the Iraqi city of Mosul (without much success it seems) ISIS forces have moved into the re- fallen Syrian town of Palmyra with the U.S. doing nothing to stop them moving. It seems the Obama plan remains the overthrow of Syrian President Assad irrespective of how corrupt this intention is serving only to destabalise the region. Now Lavrov is holding out an olive leaf to Trump to see what he is made of.

“We think it would be the right thing to invite the representatives of the UN and the new US administration to the meeting,” Lavrov had said on Wednesday, at a press conference summing up the results of Russian foreign policy in 2016.
